God taught Beth to trust Him with not only the little things, but even with huge things. In the weeks to come, Beth saw God working in her life and her heart through those prayers. Excitedly, and expectantly, Beth prayed more and more, and now, she prayed specific and intentional prayers straight from her heart.Īn amazing thing happened- God answered those little prayers. Nevertheless, God was working in Beth, beckoning her hurting heart towards Himself.Ī good friend invited Beth to a Bible study, where they read, “What Happens When Women Walk in Faith” by Lysa Terkeurst. But those prayers came from routine, from her head, and not from her heart. She believed in Him and, going through the motions of religion, she prayed. “During this time I prayed, but not very specifically, because when you are fearful you don’t feel worthy of much and I didn’t feel worthy of God.īeth was always aware of God. The weight of this loss, coupled with the fear and anxiety, left sweet Beth a mess. But time and time again, at home, she would crumble and her husband would hold her, picking her up as she cried.Īnd then, her grandpa was diagnosed with lung cancer. Her friends and community believed that she was good, even thriving. Masking her hurting and anxious heart, she went through her day-to-day life. On the outside, she looked fine, happy and put-together. Instead of me controlling my fear, my fear was controlling me.”īeth, a young wife and now mother, lived in constant turmoil from her anxiety. The rest is in His hands.“I controlled and planned every detail of my life and was left overwhelmed and unsatisfied. Trusting and having faith in His perfect timing is your purpose and trying to see things from His perspective is your goal. When fear feels to be overwhelming you, remember He is your provider, your protector. He wants only your best, to provide and protect. He knows where you’ve been and where you’re going. Our perspective is different with each experience we go through but we also have God’s heavenly perspective. Circumstances change, life changes, the world changes and we have the benefit of using the wisdom we receive from God to help us navigate the ever changing world around us, and following His will for our lives in every situation. Our purpose is to follow Him, to trust Him. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” (Proverbs 3v5-6) Our purpose is simple “trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. Never in the way that we expect either.įor a long time I had a very narrow view of my God-given purpose. Impossible situations turned on their heads. Time and time again I’ve seen the provision of God in our lives. “I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through the Anointed One, Jesus Christ!” Finances, job insecurity, away from loved ones, routine changes, but I can say from absolute experience that our God is a God who provides. I can do a lot more than I believe I can, but more importantly God can do exceedingly more than I can even imagine.Ī lot of people will be facing a lot of uncertainty at the moment.

Fear is something that’s very real to a lot of people, including myself, but over the past few years I’ve realised that fear lies.
